Truth In Advertising

OK... I completely support the concept of "full disclosure"... but even I was a bit taken aback by this:

Doomed to a life of disappointment

Another future liberal expecting the government to do the impossible:

At least he has the same expectations as adult Lefties...

The military's new Secret Weapon

Who knew the engineering geniuses got their inspiration from "Harry Potter"?

Gotta find something to do now that George W. Bush won the war.  Y'know...until the press decides to report on the story.

"Please...the honor is just in being nominated..."

The Audio Publishers Association have announced their nominees for the 2009 Audie Awards; excellence in audiobooks.

I'm nominated in the category of Audiobook Adaptation, audiobooks spawned from other media.  I'm up against four very impressive projects, crammed with famous people, terrific actors, and complete audio production.

I was alone in a closet reading the story of a video game.

Call me "Cinderella".

Giving credit where it's due

Here's an idea:  Let's use stimulus money for actually stimulating the economy!

Re. Walt Minnick (D-ID) has reverse-engineered a much more viable, effective, and economical solution if President Obama insists that government absolutely must get involved.

In fact, it makes so much sense (it cuts out about 5/6 of the pork) there isn't a chance in hell that it'll pass.  But good for Minnick; finally, a Democrat with an actual idea.

Let's work together on My Ideas

Poem of the Week thanks to Tarzana Joe.

The New Diplomacy
By Tarzana Joe

A hopeful day is dawning
And the changing has begun
Let’s all get down to business
But remember that I won

We’re going to change America
And reason not the cost
I’d love to hear your thinking
But remember that you lost

To this little wine and cheese
I bi-partisan-ly greet you
Before we get to the agenda
Did I mention that I beat you?

When it comes to picking policy
There can only be one chooser
Now I am the decider
And you, friend, are the loser

The deficit is larger
And the GDP is thinner
But that’s the way I want it
And guess what?  I’m the winner

The government is growing
And I hope you know your place in it
And every chance I get
I’m going to rub your face in it.

So much for passionate ideology

Wait a minute... I thought that the reason the Good Guys are attacked by suicide/homicide bombers is that "they're passionate ideology is so strong that they're lining up to die for their beloved cause!"

Obviously, there are some loons out there willing to do anything, despite how reprehensible and fruitless.

But enough about Liberals.

However, the fact that al-Queada is stooping to gay rape in order to shame young men into killing themselves--not to mention the horror they perpetrated on women.

President Glowbama

This photo is more serious and less etherial than say, for example, this one:

Well, yeah, but he's President now.

I'm sure the Mainstream Media treated Senator John McCain with the same kind of respect during the election...

Oooopsie.  Well, surely once a man is President Of  The United States he's treated with dignity, right?

As it already has in so many instances, History will make the Left look progressively more foolish by the day.

And by the way MSM:  SOme of us already have a messiah.

Don't ANY of these people pay taxes?

No wonder Democrats don't mind raising taxes on Americans.  They don't pay 'em anyway.

President Obama's nominee to be the federal government's first Chief Performance Officer treasury watchdog has withdrawn her nomination because of failure to pay employment taxes.

Naturally Obama's choice to run the entire the Treasury Department would have been furious with any undisclosed non-payment of taxes, right?  ...oh, wait...

Surely these are only "speed bumps" toward the smooth nomination of people like, oh, Tom Daschle, say.

I say, don't leave tax scandals in the hands of the Federal Government, put some in the hands of the States.

"Speed bumps" my fat, white Scottish a$$.  (Can you imagine what the media coverage would be like if Republicans had "forgotten" to pay taxes?  A few bored soldiers forced terrorists to wear underwear on their heads and it was more than 30 consecutive days of New York Times front page coverage.  Do the math.)

Actually, these stories are all just embarrassments for Democrats that the MSM is trying desperately to bury.   What it says in the larger sense is that our current system is so convoluted and effed up that even the people who made the tax laws can't figure out how to comply.

We need the FairTax.  And we need it now.

What about

Tax Problems?  For Democrats?  I'm shockedShocked!

They're wrong about Wal-Mart

Reading one of the Lefty screeds like Kos, or listening to almost any Democrat, and you'd think that Wal-mart was a last-chance stop where the unfortunate who couldn't get work elsewhere were imprisoned by evil corporate fat cats who exploited them like slaves.

Not so much.  Here's what one writer found when he put on the blue apron.  Fairness, respect, dignity, possibility.

But the "American Dream is dead!"  Nobody can start out with nothing and succeed in this country!

"Wrong, grasshopper..."  You can start out homeless and have an apartment, a car, and $2500.00 in cash in a year.

Minimum wage jobs were never designed to support a family of four.  They are only the starting line to Having It All.

To paraphrase from a book everyone should get for their kids: minimum wage jobs are not beneath your dignity; your grandparents had another word for McJobs.  They called them "opportunity."
